The specific acoustic requirement of the “Ronald Gym Club” Project necessitated a double layer of self-supporting curved roofing INCO 70.4 for realizing a high acoustic performance ( acoustic absorption).

Self-supporting curved roofing INCO 70.4 to cover 200 m2. This system cover a free-span of 11 meters.

It is a High Acoustic Performance Roofing; the inner profile is perforated to allow the acoustic absorption.

The system is composed by the inner curved profile INCO 70.4. This profile is micro perforated R3T6, it works as a false ceiling and, at the same time, as a bearing element to the insulation system. (1)

After that the thermal and acoustic insulation is installed. These panels are separated by hat purlins because of the low density of them. (2)

Finally, closing the sandwich cover, the self-supporting curved profile INCO 70.4, Thickness 1.2mm is put up, its function is mainly to support wind, snow and maintenance loads. (3)

This type of system easily reduces the thermal bridging of the roofing and it improves the acoustic absorption (αw = 0,8),that is suited to the needs of the project.

Roof typology

(1) Indicate the length of the span of the arch, which is the greatest horizontal distance between the supports of the curved roofing.

(2) Plan-view dimension representing the full length of the curved roof measured perpendicular to the arch span.

(3) Specify the obstructed area under the canopy, in square meters, as a proportion of the total area of the front or side (transverse or longitudinal) façade, in order to calculate the obstruction factor. If it is a closed construction or there is no obstruction area, indicate 0 m².
