These Talleres Machado facilities have a covered area of \u200b\u200b12,000 m\u00b2 and were put into service in 1994. Currently, they carry out repair and maintenance work on the 4,300 units that serve the metro lines.<\/p>\n<p>The original roof was made up of very long skirts and a reduced edge profile, which caused water to enter the interior of the enclosure. A new wide-edged profile, the INCO 100.3 profile, has been refurbished on the roof to ensure proper drainage of rainwater and prevent water from entering the roof through longitudinal overlaps.<\/p>\n<p>The length of the pieces has been maximized to guarantee the least number of transversal overlaps in the installation. In this way, pieces with lengths of up to 15,000 mm have been manufactured, thus generating a single transversal overlap.
