This border crossing serves the largest flow of people, vehicles and cargo transport between Argentina and Chile and constitutes the main connection of the Chilean country with MERCOSUR.<\/p>\n<p>The project has included the construction of a 30,000 m\u00b2 Control and Inspection building, together with a housing building for civil servants and a sub-commission for police officers, among others.
