Expansion of a distribution centre with precast concrete structure for Marcotran in Pedrola (Zaragoza) – Spain.
The Curved Self-Supporting Roofing system with INCO 70.4 has been used in the expansion of the Distribution Centre for Marcotran in Zaragoza.
Marcotran Logistics, the logistic operator and storage Company, has expanded the distribution centre that they have in Pedrola (Zaragoza) in 11.000m2. The have an overall of 33.000m2 in the Industrial Area “El Pradillo” to storage merchandise in big volumes to furnish them around the globe.
This project has been carried out with a precast concrete structure with “Y” beams, together with the curved sandwich roofing system for big spans. This system, integrated in the inside by the resistant profile Inco 70.4 curved and in the outside by the INCO 30.5 can reach spans of up to 13.30m. This system offers great advantages, such as short installation term together with a light structure that allows large open spaces.
Incoperfil’s curved system guarantees the water tightness of the roof, as it covers the span with a single piece, reducing the overlapping to the one produced lengthwise between the sheets.
In addition to these advantages, the precast concrete structure guarantees the required fire resistance of the structure without the need to apply a fire-retardant treatment, avoiding the cost overrun that you have in metallic structures. This system usually employs elements Euroclass A1 clasified: Non combustible, the safest regarding the fire protection.
