Roof rehabilitation

croquis de rehabilitación cubierta curvada- esquema

The rehabilitation of the industrial roof consists of a corrugated profile fixed on the existing roof.

The rehabilitation of an industrial roof involves the installation of an additional corrugated exterior cladding profile over the existing roof. Its main function is to provide a stable and economical reservoir in which existing roofing present water and oxidation problems. In addition, this intervention allows the installation of an intermediate insulation to improve the thermal conditioning of the interior, in cases where the existing insulation is insufficient or non-existent.

The external cladding corrugated profile will comply with the mechanical requirements specified in the project and will guarantee the watertightness of the roof. This corrugated profile will be installed on a series of spacer profiles, which are generally composed of cold-formed metal profiles and are spaced between 1.50 and 3 meters apart. The most suitable profiles for this industrial roofing solution are INCO 30.4 Deck, INCO 30.5 Deck and INCO 44.4 Deck.
Reduced Earrings

In roofs with low slopes, large-edged profiles, such as INCO 100.3 Deck and INCO 155.3 Deck, can be used as external cladding profiles. These profiles, thanks to their large rib height and their manufacture in lengths of up to 23 meters, improve the watertightness of the roof by eliminating or minimizing the transverse overlaps between rows of sheets. In other words, if the size of the skirt allows it, a single sheet can be used to cover the entire skirt of the roof. To reinforce the watertightness in roofs with a low slope, it is recommended to have an adhesive watertight joint along the transverse overlap between rows of sheets.

Minimum Slopes
The simple roof must have a minimum slope towards the water drainage elements greater than that specified in the CTE DB HS Salubridad. Table 2.10 Slopes on inclined roofs. In particular, the minimum slope must be adjusted according to the profile depth of each profile. For external cladding profiles manufactured by Incoperfil, the adapted slope table is as follows:
PROFILE TYPEMINIMUM SLOPE
INCO 30.4Greige10%
INCO 30.5 Greased10%
INCO 44.4 Greige8%
INCO 44.6Corrugated10%
INCO 70.4 Grecado5%

Roof typology

(1) Indicate the length of the span of the arch, which is the greatest horizontal distance between the supports of the curved roofing.

(2) Plan-view dimension representing the full length of the curved roof measured perpendicular to the arch span.

(3) Specify the obstructed area under the canopy, in square meters, as a proportion of the total area of the front or side (transverse or longitudinal) façade, in order to calculate the obstruction factor. If it is a closed construction or there is no obstruction area, indicate 0 m².
