Facade for solar control

croquis de sistema fachada industrial simple- esquema

The solar control façade is a construction solution responsible for regulating solar incidence inside the building. The micro-perforated exterior profile is responsible for diffusing the entry of light and absorbing heat from solar radiation.

The solar control façade is made up of two main elements: internally, a normally glazed coating from floor to ceiling and externally, a micro-perforated profile that adapts to the support structure. The main function of the second skin of the façade is to filter and control sunlight inside the building. The R3T6 microperforation is the most common, since its 23% perforation percentage allows for a good degree of lighting inside the premises and at the same time guarantees significant energy savings. The structure that supports the façade can allow, on the one hand, a series of interior maintenance walkways and, on the other hand, a textured façade design.

Roof typology

(1) Indicate the length of the span of the arch, which is the greatest horizontal distance between the supports of the curved roofing.

(2) Plan-view dimension representing the full length of the curved roof measured perpendicular to the arch span.

(3) Specify the obstructed area under the canopy, in square meters, as a proportion of the total area of the front or side (transverse or longitudinal) façade, in order to calculate the obstruction factor. If it is a closed construction or there is no obstruction area, indicate 0 m².
