New logistics warehouse with self-supporting deck roof installed directly on prefabricated concrete structure, with spans of 7.20 m between supports.

This important logistics operator has expanded its facilities with the construction of a new state-of-the-art logistics centre in Zaragoza, with an investment of 14 million euros. The extension adds 12,000 m² of surface area between warehouse and offices, as well as incorporating 100 loading docks.

The project combines a prefabricated concrete structure with a self-supporting deck roof system, which has simplified the construction of the roof by eliminating the need for straps, thus optimising execution times. The self-supporting deck roof has been resolved with the INCO 155.3 pre-lacquered profile of 1.20 mm thickness, using 15-metre-long sheets that cover spans of 7.20 m in two-span pieces.

This profile, under these conditions, supports a maximum increased load of 280 kg/m², which allows the incorporation of a photovoltaic installation on the roof, the fixing of hanging installations under the sheet metal, in addition to permanent loads and snow overload.

Roof typology

(1) Indicate the length of the span of the arch, which is the greatest horizontal distance between the supports of the curved roofing.

(2) Plan-view dimension representing the full length of the curved roof measured perpendicular to the arch span.

(3) Specify the obstructed area under the canopy, in square meters, as a proportion of the total area of the front or side (transverse or longitudinal) façade, in order to calculate the obstruction factor. If it is a closed construction or there is no obstruction area, indicate 0 m².
