The INCO 70.4 steel profile protected with a high-resistance coating in marine environments has been chosen in the rehabilitation of the stands at the Cueto (Santander) soccer field - Spain

In Cueto, located north of Santander, the comprehensive rehabilitation of its historic football field has been carried out. This field, founded in 1928, has enjoyed a budget of 650,000 euros for comprehensive rehabilitation based on: the installation of artificial grass, remodeling of the stands, renovation of the electrical installation and fencing as well as common areas and parking.

The roof of the stands has been resolved with the INCO 70.4 self-supporting roof system with large spans. The product used on this occasion required guarantees against oxidation in aggressive marine environments since it is less than 20 m away from the Cantabrian Sea.

The INCO 70.4 curved profile has been made with Magnelis®, a new material composed of base material steel, coated with zinc, aluminum and magnesium. This new metallic coating provides surface protection against corrosion in the most aggressive environments. Due to its special chemical composition, Magnelis offers a resistance to corrosion up to 10 times higher than that of standard galvanized steel. Arguably few commercially available materials offer better protection than Magnelis® ZM310 in environments containing chloride or ammonia.

Roof typology

(1) Indicate the length of the span of the arch, which is the greatest horizontal distance between the supports of the curved roofing.

(2) Plan-view dimension representing the full length of the curved roof measured perpendicular to the arch span.

(3) Specify the obstructed area under the canopy, in square meters, as a proportion of the total area of the front or side (transverse or longitudinal) façade, in order to calculate the obstruction factor. If it is a closed construction or there is no obstruction area, indicate 0 m².
