With an estimated investment of 12 million euros, Volkswagen Navarra has expanded its production centre for the manufacture of electric vehicles, optimising its industrial capacity. In this project, the INCO 155.3 formwork profile has been incorporated as an efficient solution for the slabs, thanks to its high load-bearing capacity and its ability to cover spans of up to 6 metres without the need for shoring during the formwork phase. This expansion reinforces Volkswagen’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the production of electric cars.
In this case, a slab solution executed on site was chosen with the INCO 155.3 Encofrado profile, with a total slab thickness of 320 mm, accompanied by anti-crack reinforcement on the upper face and positive reinforcement on each rib. On a structure of spans separated by 4.00 metres, a 3-span sheet metal section was designed using the INCO 155.3 Formwork profile, with a thickness of 1.20 mm, to avoid shoring.
