The roof has been replaced with the INCO 44.4 Curved system using special coatings to guarantee its durability.

The municipal heated pool of Valladolid “Parquesol” is made up of two heated pools, one of them Olympic-sized, a jacuzzi area, a children’s play area, a gym, changing rooms and an area for various activities.

The original roof, made up of a 2,600 m² polygonal dome, has been completely replaced by the presence of oxidation spots on the coating due to the aggressiveness of the interior environment. The solution for the new roof has been proposed with the INCO 44.4 Curved profile inserting specific finishing work at the intersections of the skirts. The INCO 44.4 Curvado roof system has made it possible to respect the radius of curvature of the original design, guaranteeing its watertightness through a meticulous study of the quartering of the sheets.

To guarantee the thermal and acoustic behavior of the roof, an on-site sandwich solution has been adopted with the INCO 44.4 Curved profile, both inside and outside, inserting thermal insulation between both profiles.

The use of special coatings is necessary in this type of facility due to the high degree of indoor humidity. In this case, an HDX-55 micron coating has been used for the inner profile and a PVDF-35 micron coating for the outer profile.

Roof typology

(1) Indicate the length of the span of the arch, which is the greatest horizontal distance between the supports of the curved roofing.

(2) Plan-view dimension representing the full length of the curved roof measured perpendicular to the arch span.

(3) Specify the obstructed area under the canopy, in square meters, as a proportion of the total area of the front or side (transverse or longitudinal) façade, in order to calculate the obstruction factor. If it is a closed construction or there is no obstruction area, indicate 0 m².
