IKEA has expanded its warehouses in Loures, Portugal. This new space has a roof area of over 8,500 m², housing parking, exhibition and office areas. Following the company’s usual construction and industrialisation criteria, the main building is made up of a prefabricated concrete structure and a self-supporting deck-type roof.
The self-supporting deck roof is made up of the INCO 155.3 Deck support corrugated profile, arranged on the main structure with a section in two 6-metre spans. The use of high-depth profiles on the roof allows the main structure to be optimised and construction times to be reduced by eliminating the intermediate structure.
