The INCO 44.6 Corrugated profiles in INCO 30.4 Roof have been used for the facade and roof cladding of the new Kömmerling offices.

The new offices of the Kömmerling company in Camarma de Esteruelas (Madrid) have been developed under the Zero City Project methodology to guarantee a zero-consumption construction, providing renewable energy sources, paying attention to the hermeticity in the meetings and a correct orientation of the building .

The architecture studio, EnMedio Studio, manages to integrate a friendly space into “a harsh environment of industrial warehouses lacking green spaces” of the industrial estate where the project is located. The building has on one side a square open to a garden where “seasonal changes in light and vegetation are perceived.”

The architecture has taken into account the recommendations of the Passivhaus Institute for the design of the building, guaranteeing airtightness and breathability through an envelope that does not produce condensation. In addition, this building has underfloor heating/cooling and adaptive air conditioning, and photovoltaic panels have been installed on its roof for the production of solar energy.

The project, divided into two floors, is surrounded by vegetation and stands out for its south orientation to make the most of the entry of natural light. The multi-layer façade system consists of a microperforated cladding on the outside as solar control that also allows the façade to breathe. The INCO 44.6 Corrugated profile has been supplied with a lacquered finish, Silver Metallic RAL 9006 color, and R6T10 microperforated. The wavy profile, due to the symmetry of its waves, provides an excellent aesthetic finish. The INCO 30.4 roof profile has been arranged as a covering profile for the roof, with a lacquered finish and Silver Metallic RAL 9006 colour.

Roof typology

(1) Indicate the length of the span of the arch, which is the greatest horizontal distance between the supports of the curved roofing.

(2) Plan-view dimension representing the full length of the curved roof measured perpendicular to the arch span.

(3) Specify the obstructed area under the canopy, in square meters, as a proportion of the total area of the front or side (transverse or longitudinal) façade, in order to calculate the obstruction factor. If it is a closed construction or there is no obstruction area, indicate 0 m².
