The Szczecin Philharmonic (Poland), designed by Barozzi Veiga, is presented as the new icon of the city and a landmark in and outside Poland. It consists of two concert halls with capacity for 951 and 192 spectators.

The roof has been designed, calculated and executed by Monobi, a company specializing in acoustic solutions; they have the patent for each of the three solutions presented in the building.

These solutions range from 54 to 67 dB of acoustic insulation.

The roof is achieved by a multilayer system composed of different metal profiles, combining a great thermal and acoustic comfort; allow perfect adaptation to the complex geometry of the roof. This system respects the difficult conditions required in this type of building. (Thermal transmittance U = 0.18 W / m² K)

Firstly the cover is made of INCO 72.1 Tray profile; its main function is to resist the forces transmitted to the deck. Also due to its geometry, can receive therein the different types of insulation required. Secondly, the profile INCO 30.4 is placed perpendicularly, with an intermediate profile on these spacers “Z” profiles, and finally the outer profile of the cover, such as INCO 70.4.profile.

Roof typology

(1) Indicate the length of the span of the arch, which is the greatest horizontal distance between the supports of the curved roofing.

(2) Plan-view dimension representing the full length of the curved roof measured perpendicular to the arch span.

(3) Specify the obstructed area under the canopy, in square meters, as a proportion of the total area of the front or side (transverse or longitudinal) façade, in order to calculate the obstruction factor. If it is a closed construction or there is no obstruction area, indicate 0 m².
