The INCO 44.6 Curved metal profile has been adapted to the aesthetic and functional needs of the roof by bending in a concave and convex position over the wooden structure.

The new GSD Las Artes educational centre has been allocated a budget of 17 million euros and 17,000 m² for construction. It has been inaugurated in this 2024 school year, consolidating GSD’s commitment to educational quality and the local community.

This modern building combines sustainability, functionality and innovative spaces for 21st century education. The project includes three main modules with large and flexible classrooms, green areas, and sports areas that promote comprehensive learning and the well-being of students. In addition, a basement, a sports centre and another building made with prefabricated construction systems where there are two heated swimming pools are added.

These spaces are joined by sports courts with a covered area that includes the basketball and paddle tennis courts. This last area has a roof designed with wooden lattices and a metal enclosure composed of the INCO 44.6 Curved profile. Thanks to the symmetry of this profile, it is possible to install it on roofs that combine concave and convex shapes.

The INCO 44.6 Curved profile has been supplied in galvanized and pre-lacquered steel, with a 25 micron white paint protection, guaranteeing durability and resistance to environmental conditions.

Roof typology

(1) Indicate the length of the span of the arch, which is the greatest horizontal distance between the supports of the curved roofing.

(2) Plan-view dimension representing the full length of the curved roof measured perpendicular to the arch span.

(3) Specify the obstructed area under the canopy, in square meters, as a proportion of the total area of the front or side (transverse or longitudinal) façade, in order to calculate the obstruction factor. If it is a closed construction or there is no obstruction area, indicate 0 m².
